Storage Tips
Choosing the Right Unit
Test
1. Don’t overpay for space you won’t use
Take a quick inventory of what you’re storing and measure bulky items. You might need less space than you think — or realise a small upgrade will give you better organization and ease of access.
2. Pack with access in mind
Place items you’ll need more frequently at the front of your unit. Use clear containers, label everything, and keep a narrow walkway if possible. You’ll thank yourself later.
3. Go vertical
Make the most of your unit by stacking boxes, using shelves or pallets to lift items off the floor. This helps with airflow, accessibility, and maximises your rental space.
4. Keep it sealed and secure
Use airtight containers for sensitive items like electronics, clothes, and documents. Wrap furniture and mattresses in protective covers and always use a quality padlock — remember, you bring your own.
5. Choose your unit based on lifestyle, not just price
Access needs differ. If you’ll be in and out often, go for a unit near the front or one with easier parking. Long-term storage? You might get better value with units slightly further in.
